Throwback to March 26th 2014, we were super fortunate to witness this talented and inspiratonal crowd pleaser hold court at one of Bali’s most spectacular locations, perched on a steep cliff 70 metres above the roaring Indian ocean.
We at Handsome Citizens can not encourage you enough, if you are heading down the aisle; to consider a destination wedding. We were married at a private villa on the cliffs of Uluwatu, Bali, with a very few intimate friends, and we recommend it highly. No stress, no fuss, beautiful surroundings, warm weather, surf/yoga/massage all at your fingertips to get the day started, your own pool and private villa, wonderful staff to look after you, and make sure your day goes to plan. Magali Pascal, a French fashion designer; and now husband Matt, were married in a private villa at Canggu in Bali on 6th July 2013 with a 1920’s Gatsby inspired theme, together with 120 guests. We chose this weeks Tuesday Tunes to coincide with our recent move to Bali. We are chasing a more simplistic way of life. Morning of the Earth is a 1971 classic surf film by Alby Falzon and David Elfick. And although our electronic obsessed society is nothing like the free & simple 70’s, we would dearly love to let go of the consumerism; that we like everyone else, is currently caught up in (noted: we still have our computers & devices, firmly in hand!) To focus instead on having a simple roof over our heads, (bungalow) which has little space for storing clothing; requiring us to limit the wardrobe; no car; no air conditioning and with only cold water. Best of all the location of this sea/tree change is none other than the area near by Uluwatu, the scene of many of the iconic images in the Morning of the Earth surf film adventure.. ☟

Introducing inspiring Yogi || Amy Landry || in this super-sped-up flow, filmed at the stunning sanctuary that is Desa Seni, in beautiful Canggu, Bali. (One of HC’s preferred places for Yoga, Where to..When in..) Amy is a teacher – and forever a student – in Newcastle, Australia, but envisions a future teaching not only within the Australian community, but also internationally. She teaches classes at Verve For Life & Yoga Loft Newcastle. Amy has studied and practiced in a variety of styles, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Purna, Yin, Power and Hatha Yoga – from many of the great inspiring teachers known worldwide today. She is devoted to sharing the ancient practices with others as well as helping each soul to find their individual flow and full potential.
Don’t compare your yoga practice to others’. We are all our own unique constitution, so are designed to be different. Spend more time getting to know your own body, and listening to the subtle messages it is sending you in every moment.
